Synopsis

Spider-Man: Far from Home Full Movie

We all think that the comic book character Spider-Man already had his final version of the film when Tobey Maguire played him in the Sam Raimi trilogy from 2002 to 2007. Marc Webb tried to restart the series with Andrew Garfield in two films 2012-2014, but they were too dark to win any lasting public favor, stopping after two installments.

In 2016, Sony entered into a special license agreement with Marvel to allow Spider-Man to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe, beginning with “Captain America: Civil War.” We had our first look at Tom Holland, 20, who plays our friendly neighborhood hero. We could meet him more in his independent film “Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017).

In “Avengers: Infinity War” (2018) and “Avengers: Endgame” (2019), we saw Peter Parker sprinkled by the snap of Thanos’ fingers and we returned to witness the death of his mentor Tony Stark. In this new cinematic adventure, Peter Parker, 16, will deal with the consequences of Stark’s death and his incipient career as a superhero.

Simply wanting to enjoy the carefree joy of being a teenager, Peter Parker goes on a European trip with his classmates without his Spider-Man costume. He just wanted to buy a special gift to MJ in Venice and give it to her at the Eiffel Tower after professing his love, but powerful monsters of water and fire called Elementals came to ruin all his plans. However, Peter meets a new superhero named Mysterio whom he saw as a new mentor.

As “Homecoming” before, Tom Holland was a very adorable Spider-Man. He had that shrill vulnerable and sharp voice that immediately makes you take care of him like your own son. We can feel his inner conflicts when he was a teenager who recognized that his great power had a great responsibility. We can feel his anguish for his deceased mentor and his desperation for another guide as a superhero.

They are back their best friend Ned (actor Jacob Batalon), the archenemy Flash (Tony Revolori) and the lady of love MJ (Zendaya), and were all the time in the great European break. We met with their inept nerd chaperone teachers (JB Smoove and Martin Starr) and other classmates like the beautiful Betty Brant (Angourie Rice) who had fallen in love with Ned, and the pretty boy Brad Davis (31 year old Remy Hii), Peter’s rival to get MJ’s attention.

Back to his SHIELD duties are Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). Throughout the film, you feel like Nick does not have his usual personality, and you would have to wait for the additional scene after the end of the credits to clarify that. Stark’s bodyguard Happy Hogan (an always friendly Jon Favreau) watched Peter, but he also had another trained eye on Peter’s beautiful Aunt Mae (Marissa Tomei). And then there’s the hero Mysterio (a charismatic Jake Gyllenhaal), whose relationship with Peter made an indelible impression on the teenage hero.

Director Jon Watts continues his winning streak by telling another tale about Spider-Man as he matures to another level in the superhero business. There was never a dull moment in the whole movie, as the focus shifted from the action of the awesome Elementals to the funny comedy of classmates and vice versa, in a fluid and entertaining way with dazzling special visual effects. There were several surreal scenes where illusion and reality became indistinguishable from each other, both for the characters on screen and for us: this was a first-rate film edition in action.

We must give Spider-Man: Far from Home a 9/10. But then came that AWESOME half-credit scene that would leave anyone shocked. This was a great surprise turn (and a guest) that nobody saw coming. What develops in those incredible fast minutes is worthy of applause. So the final grade will be a solid 10/10.

Peter Parker decides to associate with Michelle Jones, Ned and the remainder of his acquaintances to take a rest to Europe after the events that took place in Avengers: EndGame. Without seizure, Parker’s plan to leave his superpowers’ extension for a few weeks is truncated when he is recruited by Nick Fury to join Mysterio (a human who comes from Earth 833, an obesity of the Multiverse, which had its first appearance in Doctor Strange) to box against the Elementals (four immortal entities that come from the same corpulence and that dominate the four rudiments of Nature, the fire, the drink, the visage and the floor). In that flash, Parker goes back to spending the habit of Spider-Man to do with his crochet.
